Meet Duncan

Add to favourites

Duncan is a good looking gentleman with a mysterious past looking for a bright new future. Found as a stray and never claimed, Duncan seems to have been living outside for awhile and is a bit of a shy sweet guy at first. He’s hoping to find a quiet home without young children as he can sometimes be easily startled. He needs time and a gentle, loving hand to help him settle into his new home and become more confident. He may initially want to hide a bit until he feels safe but with love and patience he’ll come around and his sweet, loving side will shine out. Duncan loves getting chin and cheek scratches as well as taking long cat naps. We think he has a lot of potential to become a wonderful, loving companion in the right home. We’re not sure if Duncan has ever been around other animals so testing and slow, proper introductions would be important.
Duncan probably didn’t have it very easy when he was outside and does appear to have been previously injured around his mouth which makes his chin look a little odd. He also has some broken teeth which will need to come out and he is currently awaiting his dental surgery which will be in early July. **A local adopter will have the option to foster Duncan until after he is healed from his surgery and he can be officially adopted. Please ask more staff for information regarding this.**

An adoption counseling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal.

Please note due to the current COVID-19 pandemic our adoption process has changed. Please visit our website for more information. All adoptions are by appointment only once we have received an application.

***Due to the high number of applications we receive for our animals, we will only be contacting potential adopters to further review their application. We are not able to call all applicants.***
