Kya and her sister Stevie, were brought to the SPCA after being abandoned. Kya is very sweet, high-energy and social. Kya would love to be adopted with her sister Stevie, however, if they go to separate loving homes we believe they could thrive individually with lots of extra attention and time.

She can get easily over excited and therefore will need a guardian who can provide lots of exercise and outings. She may want to chase moving things like bikes or animals. Good obedience and a confident guardian is important.

Kya does get anxious when left alone for long periods of time. Her future guardian will need to be prepared to work on this slowly with her to get her used to spending time alone. Having said that, most times when Stevie and Kya are together, they are very chill. Several times they have been left alone in an office and have just curled up to sleep. It seems her and Stevie haven’t had a lot of exposure to car rides, it can be quite stressful on them.

Kya loves going for walks. She will need a home with a secure yard and nothing under 6 ft because she has a history of climbing fences when left unsupervised. We don’t know if Kya has lived with any animals other than Stevie, but we do know that cats and small animals are an absolute no for this gal.
