Meet Benny

Meet Benny the beautiful bun bun!

Benny can be a bit shy and nervous at first, like many small animals, but he is overall a curious guy who will hop up to you to investigate and see what you’re doing. Once he gets to know you he is more relaxed and will enjoy some pets and ear scratches and, of course what rabbit doesn’t like veggie treats! An adopter will need to be prepared to continue working with this shy guy at getting him more comfortable with petting and being picked up. He may not be a good match for very small children but older kids who are rabbit savvy may be alright.

Benny was surrendered to the SPCA when he unfortunately wasn’t getting along with the other rabbit in his previous home. He has since been neutered so it may be possible he could get along with another rabbit with less chance of aggression but we can’t be sure. If introducing to another rabbit in the home he will need a proper, slow introduction to ensure success but he would also likely be happy as the only rabbit as well. Benny is doing well at using his litter box in the shelter and is a fairly clean guy.

It is very important for rabbits to have plenty of space to run around for enrichment. Adopters will need to show that they can provide the proper care, housing, and diet required for Benny.
This adorable little guy will certainly blossom to be a wonderful companion once he is settled in his fur-ever home and has built trust of with his guardian. Come meet this cutie, and see if he is the right fit for your home.

An adoption counseling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal.

Please note due to the current COVID-19 pandemic our adoption process has changed. Please visit our website https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/how-to-adopt/ for more information. All adoptions are by appointment only once we have received an application.

***Due to the high number of applications we receive for our animals, we will only be contacting potential adopters to further review their application. We are not able to call all applicants.***
