Meet Ash

Add to favourites

This bundle of fun is the most loving and playful dog. Ash adores human attention/affection and shows it with his wiggly excited body, he will even climb right into your lap!

Ash will need an experienced adopter who is willing to provide ongoing management of prey drive and inappropriate dog/dog interactions. The foundations have been laid and Ash has learned a lot of skills to help him make smart choices in exciting situations including being muzzle trained and great ability to focus on his person – but due to incidents before he came to the BCSPCA with other dogs and wildlife, Ash will require continuous management. (For example he will need to be a on leash whenever there is potential to interact with unfamiliar animals, including dogs/cats/birds) *much more information on this will be provided to interested and qualified adoption applicants*

Ash is a toy connoisseur! He LOVES playing ball, although it’s still hard for him to give up his toy. He is possibly the world champion at playing tug – but watch your footing, this guy can pull you off your feet. Due to his strength, excitability and exercise needs we feel a physically active home without other animals or young children would be best for him.

Ash does have dietary allergies and will need a special diet and monitoring to be sure he stays in tip top shape, he is currently eating a Z/D Hills Prescription Diet and it seems to be working extremely well with him.

Feel Ash could be the one for you? Follow the steps below to submit your application.
