Meet Hal

Add to favourites

Hal and his best buddy Gourd (ID# 536125) are looking for their forever home! Hal and Gourd were found together as strays, and would like to find a home that can keep them together. They were a little shy of people at first but between their youthful curiosity and lots of positive reinforcement they have really taken an interest in making human friends! Hal is a big sweetie around people, gentle and a bit bashful but always happy to hang out if you have treats. Then when it’s playtime with Gourd, Hal can really get going – wrestling, chase, you name it they’ll play it together! Hal and Gourd need a guardian who can continue to help them gain confidence and trust around people, and can also keep up with their active minds and energetic bodies! Hal and Gourd are up to date on hoof and tusk trims, mite treatments, and have been castrated.

Think you might be able to give Hal and Gourd the home they need? Please fill out an adoption application at: https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/equine-farm-animal-adoption-application-form/

Please ensure that your municipality allows you to have pigs and that you have appropriate indoor and outdoor space and fencing for pigs. These pigs are very clean and currently live in a stall with outdoor access during the day, which they thoroughly enjoy when the weather is good! They prefer to do their business outside, but overnight they have a “litterbox” area of shavings away from their straw nest where they go when nature calls.
