Meet Scout

Add to favourites

My name is Scout and I’m looking for a gentle, experienced home who allows me time to gain self-confidence. It’s a big, scary world and I’m still learning all about it. Daily walks to build my muscles and burn off some energy is one of my favorite things. I walk pretty good on a leash but will need for my new parents to continue positive reinforcement training. I come equipped for cuddling too!

Currently in my foster home, I can play respectfully with a quiet adult dog and I’m working on my house training skills. My foster mom has to take me outside about 330am but she loves me and doesn’t mind.

I love squeaky toys and can entertain myself with an antler bone too but I could easily get myself into trouble chewing on the couch if left alone too long. I like to follow my foster parents around the house and see if I can steal a slipper when they aren’t looking.

For anyone interested to adopt me, please do your homework on positive reinforcement training and puppy-proof your house.

***In order to protect the health of our staff, volunteers and members of the public during the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve made changes to our adoption process.

1. Submit an application: spca.bc.ca/adoption/application-forms/
2. Staff will contact the first suitable applicant to arrange a meet & greet!
