Meet Cheyenne!

There’s nothing this beautiful, gentle giant won’t do for a treat! Chey is a big girl with lots of love to give. She’s easy-going and absolutely loves her gentle walks, taking time to sniff every flower and hopefully get some cookies along the way.

Chey unfortunately doesn’t do well with other animals, so she’s looking for a home with no cats, dogs or small animals.
She’s a top notch cuddler! And although she’s quite a large dog, she sometimes forgets and thinks she’s a lap dog. She’ll cover you in slobbery kisses and quickly roll over for belly rubs. Chey is young at heart, and she doesn’t seem to let her old age bother her, so hopefully it won’t bother you either!

Because she is such a fan of people she can get anxious when left alone for too long. She will need a guardian(s) that is willing to help her get used to spending time alone slowly a few minutes at a time.

Chey has recently had a dental cleaning/surgery to get her mouth into tip-top shape. She also had x-rays done of her back end. She has some arthritis and minor mobility issues related to her age and breed. The vets did not recommend any further or immediate treatment, merely to adapt her activities to make sure she’s not straining or injuring herself.

With that said, we are looking for a home that would welcome a cuddles bug into their heart and lap. Chey would not be a good fit for someone looking for a hiking companion. Her dream home would be on one level with a walk out to a backyard, but any home with few stairs could be a good fit.

If you think Chey is the happy-go-lucky gal for you, apply today!

To adopt:
1. Read through Chey’s profile to see if your home would be a good fit.
2. Submit an application: spca.bc.ca/adoption/application-forms/
3. If it’s a match, staff will contact you to review your application and set-up an appointment to come in for a visit. Please note that visitations are made for approved applicants only.
4. Live happily furever after

**We often receive many applications for an available animal. We do our best to respond, although we are not always able to respond to all applicants. We will reach out to the approved adopter.
