As far as we know Beegee was a stray for at least a couple of months before coming to us. Unfortunately this means we don’t know anything about his history, but he was previously neutered so he has been loved before. With evidence of cat fights, we tested BG for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus)and unfortunately he tested positive. FIV is commonly transmitted through bites. There is no cure for FIV, but many cats with FIV achieve normal lifespans and do not require any daily medications. Because of this, BG will need to be an only cat in his new home, and we recommend anyone interested in BG research FIV prior to applying to adopt. He has been confident and extremely sociable here in the shelter and would love a home to call his own. If you’d like to meet BG please fill out an online application.
***In order to protect the health of our staff, volunteers and members of the public during the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve made changes to our adoption process.
