Meet Little Horse

This is Little Horse

Little Horse requires a firm but gentle owner who can continue to help encourage him to be a more well rounded canine citizen. Little horse is not suited for busy neighborhood living. Due to his lack of exposure to simple things in life, certain things make him a little uncomfortable. Like, bicycles, skateboards and even cars sometimes. He is very vocal about these things, and will express this to you.

His owners need to be confident in their abilities as he responds well to routine and stern commands. Little horse’s furever family must understand that he is very strong, and will require humans who are physically capable. Staff walk him with the use of a Halti, to teach him patience, manners and no pulling on walks. He has made tremendous progress while using the Halti.

His untreated eye condition has lead to his handsome pirate like look. He came into our care with little to no history. We do know he is best suited for a large property where he can have indoor/outdoor access most of the day, fenced (his lived his life on a tether prior). He absolutely loves to be outside so an outdoor enclosure would be a great bonus. He is NOT other pet friendly and his prey drive boarders on inquisitive, but we are not recommending a home with other animals. No small children as he is a heavy boy and jumps often, he is also clumsy and can some times gets over zealous with his mouthing.

This senior is very sweet and excitable, a real zest for life. He enjoys hikes, playing in water, treats, toys and cuddles – and oh by does he every love cuddles! Very loving and affectionate and he is not afraid to slather you with kisses.
We encourage his new owners to do nose work and provide him an active lifestyle to keep him busy. We love him, and really want him to find his ideal home so he can thrive!
