Meet Gilly @Chris’s
Although Gilly is 9 years old, she’s not your typical senior. She is strong and playful, with a loud purr and a talkative nature. She loves chin rubs and did we mention she’s a talker? Gilly has a big personality and is very expressive. At least at first, she prefers being close to lap snuggles but we’re betting with some time that would change.
Gilly was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, manageable with daily medication, which she eats with a treat without complaint or hassle.
As an indoor-outdoor cat, Gilly would prefer a place with an enclosed yard where she can roam but stay close to home.
❖In order to protect the health of our staff, volunteers and members of the public during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are prioritizing local applications and have made changes to our adoption process.
1. View Gilly’s profile at https://adopt.spca.bc.ca/
2. Submit an online application at https://spca.bc.ca/survey/cat-adoption-application-nelson/ or call the shelter at 250-352-7178.
3. If it is a match, staff will contact you to set-up an appointment for a meet and greet with Gilly. Because we often receive many applications for an animal, we may not be able to respond to all applications.
Please visit our website https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/how-to-adopt/ for more information. Masks and social distancing are still required inside the building. All adoptions are by appointment after we have received an application.
