Meet Big Bird (group Of 3 Males)

Add to favourites

Say hello to Big Bird!
Big Bird and his friends, Bert and Ernie, came into SPCA care looking to find their second chance at a forever home when their previous guardian was no longer able to keep them. These three boys get along fairly well as Guinea Pigs are social creatures who do best in groups. We ideally would like them to be adopted together if possible! Although Big bird can be a bit shy at first, he does warm up quickly especially when there’s food involved. He’s very open to bribery and his favourite time of the day is veggie time. He does fairly well with being petted and is curious when you stop by for a visit. Are you looking for a wonderful trio of pigs to entertain you? Check out this bunch!
Adopters will need to show knowledge on the special care, diet, and environment that Guinea Pigs need to be happy and healthy. Before taking on a new animal research into their special care is very important as Guinea Pigs can live 4-8 years and are a commitment.
An adoption counseling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal.

Please note due to the current COVID-19 pandemic our adoption process has changed. Please visit our website https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/how-to-adopt/ for more information. All adoptions are by appointment only once we have received an application.

***Due to the high number of applications we receive for our animals, we will only be contacting potential adopters to further review their application. We are not able to call all applicants.

***Current travel restrictions within the province of British Columbia mean that we are prioritizing local (within Interior Health Authority) adopters at this time.
