Meet Bert (group Of 3 Males)
Say hello to Bert!
Bert and his friends, Big Bird and Ernie, came into our care looking to find their second chance at a forever home when their previous guardian was not able to keep them. These three boys get along fairly well as Guinea Pigs are social creatures and it’s very entertaining to watch them mosey around making their little noises. We ideally would like them all to be adopted together if possible. Bert is a fairly outgoing pig and seems to relax fairly quickly. He loves to flop down and take naps pretty much anywhere. He enjoys pets and gets all excited and squeaky when it’s veggie time.
Adopters will need to show knowledge on the proper care, diet, and environment that Guinea Pigs need to be happy and healthy. Before taking on a new animal research into their care is very important as Guinea Pigs can live 4-8 years and are a commitment.
An adoption counseling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal.
Please note due to the current COVID-19 pandemic our adoption process has changed. Please visit our website https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/how-to-adopt/ for more information. All adoptions are by appointment only once we have received an application.
***Due to the high number of applications we receive for our animals, we will only be contacting potential adopters to further review their application. We are not able to call all applicants.
***Current travel restrictions within the province of British Columbia mean that we are prioritizing local (within Interior Health Authority) adopters at this time.
