Meet Axel Bonded To Chassis
We can’t wait to introduce you to the 2 most amazing dogs, Chassis and Axel <3 Staff and volunteers are already head over heels in love with this pair, and we can't wait to see what lucky person scoops them up. Get ready for the best friend duo of a lifetime! These 2 adore each other, shelter staff often find them grooming each other, spooning in their bed, or playing together with their favourite toys. Equal parts active and couch potato, these perfect pitbulls favourite activity is to snuggle with their human companions. They do experience separation anxiety when left alone, so a forever home with the ability to work from home (at least initially) will be important. These two enjoy playing with and ripping up stuffed-animals for fun, but please no plastic toys as we have discovered they will eat and swallow them! Axel is very under-weight and will need to be on a consistent feeding plan outlined by the vet until he is at optimal weight. His new guardians must ensure this feeding plan is followed so he can grow to a healthy weight. Due to his malnourishment, Axel tends to eat everything he can find very quickly and often will not chew treats or his food- slow feeders are a must. His guardian must also be cognizant of his counter surfing behaviour, and be sure to set him up for success by keeping a clean and tidy environment. Axel is a bit more confident than Chassis, often running up excitedly to say hi to whoever has come by. This boy loves to play and shadow you around wherever you go. Both Chassis and Axel can be selectively reactive to other dogs, and don't want to share their forever home with any visiting canines. But don't worry, between these 2 you won't ever be without dog kisses and cuddles! This BFF pair also does appear to show some prey drive, often jumping at crows and small animals on walks. They would prefer a home without and cats or small critters. This dynamic duo constantly has staff laughing and snuggling, please apply to find out more about why they are so fantastic!
