Meet our handsome, goofy goober Rex! Rex was surrendered to us through no fault of his own, but he is now looking for his forever home! Rex is looking for a confident, and physically capable adopter(s).This big guy is still growing and could weigh 140 lbs once fully grown. Rex has a nice disposition, but will need some work on his basic obedience and leash manners. Rex has a fun loving and goofy personality, he loves to be with his people, but is very well behaved and quiet when in his kennel. Rex can be a bit shy and nervous at first, and had some anxiety walking through doors at first, but he is quickly overcoming his fears and gaining confidence each and every day. Rex has dog reactivity that staff are actively working on helping him manage that. This needs to continue in the home. Rex is not suited for a home with other dogs.If you are looking to welcome a gentle giant into your home please contact the staff at the BC SPCA Maple Ridge Branch. Rex cannot go to a home with any cats, nor small children.
Please note due to the current COVID-19 pandemic our adoption process has changed. Please visit our website https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/how-to-adopt/ for more information. All adoptions are by appointment only once we have received an application.
***Due to the high number of Applications we receive for our animals, we will only be contacting potential adopters to further review their application***
