Meet Penelope

Please note due to the current COVID-19 pandemic our adoption process has changed. Please visit our website for more information. All adoptions are by appointment only once we have received an application.

***Due to the high number of applications we receive for our animals, we will only be contacting potential adopters to further review their application. We are not able to call all applicants.***

Current travel restrictions within the province of British Columbia mean that we are prioritizing local (Lower Mainland) adopters at this time.

Sweet Penelope came into our care when she was found as a stray. Clearly she was around people at some point because she is one outgoing little bun! She loves attention and will come running up to greet you. Penelope will happily accept pets and will even nestle herself against you while you continue to pet her. She is looking for a loving, forever home where there is usually someone around to keep her company. She’s doing very well using her litter box so she will definitely be a great candidate as a free-roam rabbit. Please note that Penelope does have a runny eye that she will have for the rest of her life so her new adopter will need to wipe and dry her eye from time to time. Thankfully, Penelope is a really good sport and easy to handle so doing this isn’t too much of an issue. If you think you can give Penelope a fun and loving home that she so deserves, then fill out an application for her on the BC SPCA website today!

Please note: rabbits do NOT belong in cages. Please see the BC SPCA rabbit care guide for a suitable rabbit set up:
