Meet Siberia * Pending Adoption
Siberia came into care drastically under weight. She has been seen by our vet and will need to stay on a strict diet to help her gain weight slowly in a healthy fashion. She will also need to have limited exercise to avoid burning important calories. As she is a high energy breed she will need lots of mental enrichment and stimulation to keep her happy.
Siberia has done well with children in her previous home and has been doing well living with other dogs as well as visiting other dogs on walks. Siberia can not be placed in a home with cats under any circumstance as she will chase them. It is not safe for cats to live with her.
Siberia has potential to be an escape artist and will need a guardian who supervises her when outside or keeps her on leash. She is not suited for apartment buildings as she can be chatty, typical of the husky breed. Once at a healthy weight, she will make a great running companion and hiking buddy. She will need to build up her muscles slowly but she will be more then happy to accompany you for exercise.
