Meet Stevie (LR11)

Add to favourites

Meet Stevie! This handsome guy came to us from a hording situation and has received minimal human socialization from a young age. Stevie has come so far since being in our care but still needs time to become comfortable with new people. Stevie is still a bit unsure of being pet and touched but loves to engagie in play and is quite an active guy. Stevie and his buddy Jet #523834 are looking for their new forever home together!

Stevie will continue to need behaviour support in his new home. While we are hopeful to find an experienced cat owner for this pair, we will definitely provide our support and our tips and instructions on building the trust Stevie and Jet need to become the best feline companions they can be!

Stevie and Jet will need to be the only cats in the home as well as strictly indoor-only as they have come from a large cat population who were known to carry Calicivirus. When these cats first came into the BC SPCA’s care, a majority of the population were treated with medication for Giardia, and also went through symptoms of a unknown gastrointestinal illness that we were unable to determine cause of. At this time, all cats available for adoption from this group have recovered and have recently not shown any ongoing symptoms or illness. If you have any additional questions regarding this, we are more than happy to have a chat about these very special kitties!

***PLEASE NOTE: Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases in our region and in an effort to not encourage unessential travel, we are ONLY adopting out animals to our local Sunshine Coast communities at this time. Should case numbers fall and/or recommendations change from the health authority, this may change in the future. Thanks for your understanding.***
***We’ve made changes to our adoption process! 1. View the animal’s profile at adopt.spca.bc.ca 2. Submit an application spca.bc.ca/adoption/application-forms/ 3. If it’s a match, staff will contact you to set up an appointment for a meet & greet. 4. Live happily fur-ever after!***
