Mitzi is a very shy and beautiful soul. She has had a hard time adjusting to shelter life as she appears easily overwhelmed by new environments. As we work with Mitzi, we hope to support her in building trust and confidence with human interaction. Mitzi needs a patient, understanding family who will give her the time and space she needs to feel safe and comfortable.
Mitzi struggles with inappropriate urination, this is likely due to her being easily stressed by change and being overweight – making getting into the litter box difficult. Providing her with a variety of litter boxes that have low entries and are wide allowing her to fully turn around inside, will help her to use the box successfully. Reducing stress when possible will help prevent potential accidents from occurring.
Mitzi will need help losing weight in her new home through interactive play. Mitzi is currently on a special urinary/weight loss diet that she will need to stay on until she reaches a healthy weight.
Mitzi is a shy girl at first but opens up into a lovely cuddly cat that will melt your heart!
