Meet Millie, a beautiful, brown tabby senior who has been through a lot, yet came through it all as sweet as can be. You may have seen this beautiful and unique senior kitty on the BC SPCA website. Millie showed up all by herself one day on the front steps of the East Kootenay Branch and was in dire need of some help. After a few months in foster care there, Millie has transferred to the Nelson Branch and is now ready to find her dream retirement home. She is indeed the sweetest of the sweet and loves soaking up head boops, snoozing beside you, and bringing you all the joy in the world.
Now that she has had a dental surgery (most of her teeth had to be removed!), Millie will need a diet primarily of soft food with a high fiber content, which does come at an extra cost. Because of her age, Millie also has some stiffness in her back end and will need to be maintained on pain medication for the rest of her life to keep her comfortable. Millie is also experiencing some declines in her eyesight and hearing, but not to worry, she gets around her foster home with ease and will chat loudly with you if something is missing from her life.
Thanks to the many donors who supported her medical needs, Millie is feeling much better and is looking for a calm home where she can bask in the sunshine and enjoy naps cuddled up with her forever family. After all that this incredibly special girl has been through, Millie deserves the best in life and needs a family dedicated to keeping her comfortable and healthy in her retirement years.
