Meet Daisy (32) Bonded To Iris

Add to favourites

Meet Iris and Daisy! These two chirp and purr at each other and will surely bring some cuteness into your home. They unfortunately came from a hoarding situation where they didn’t have human socializing. The two of them have come a long way from when they first arrived into our care. They both are very comfortable taking treats and playing with wands toys with humans, but still have some ways to go with being comfortable with petting.
Iris and Daisy will continue to need behaviour support in their new home. A quiet adult home without any other animals, and lots of patience is what will be best for these two. While we are hopeful to find an experienced cat owner for this pair, we will definitely provide our support and our tips and instructions on building the trust Iris and Daisy need to become the best feline companions they can be!

Iris and Daisy will need to be the only cats in the home as well as strictly indoor-only as they have come from a large cat population who were known to carry calicivirus. When these cats first came into the BC SPCA’s care, a majority of the population were treated for Giardia, and also went through symptoms of a unknown gastrointestinal illness that caused diarrhea, vomiting, and inappetence. At this time, all cats available for adoption from this group have recovered and have recently not shown any ongoing symptoms or illness. If you have any additional questions regarding this, we are more than happy to have a chat about these very special kitties!
