Have you ever gotten your dream job, then realized it wasn’t for you? Well it seems like that’s what happened to Dolly. She showed up as a stray on a farm, perfect fit for this livestock guardian cross, right? Wrong! It turns out that Dolly doesn’t like horses, or goats, or sheep, or chickens. Dolly has had successful relationships with some of her canine co-workers, but did not get along with others. We don’t know what she’s like with cats, but we don’t have high hopes.
What is she good with? Well she loves people! She loves pats and tummy rubs and puttering around the yard. She has great manners, she doesn’t jump up and is very gentle. She has been around respectful children, and seems to enjoy their company. She’ll even get the zoomies if the conditions are just right! So far she has been very tidy in her kennel and we believe that she would be good in the house. Since she came to us as a stray we are still learning all about her quirks. We think a home with a fenced yard would be ideal, she enjoys spending time outside. She wandered away from someone, so keeping her safe is important. Dolly had been well fed (ahem) in her past and will need to go on a slimming plan to keep her feeling her best. Otherwise she looks as though she was well loved and well cared for by her previous owner.
