Meet Duke! This happy, energetic guy is looking for his forever home.

Duke came into our care very underweight, but with the dedication of our staff, he has been steadily gaining weight and making excellent progress. We are looking for a foster-to-adopt home that is committed to continuing his refeeding plan and helping him learn some important life skills.

Duke has a very strong food drive, so his future family will need to be mindful of managing his environment and setting him up for success. This means things like preventing counter surfing and making sure tempting snacks, such as that forgotten stick of butter, stay safely out of reach!

Due to his energy level and breed traits, Duke would do best with someone who has experience with his breed or similar working dogs. He is eager to learn and will benefit from ongoing training, consistency, and structure as he continues to work on his manners and house-training skills.

One of Duke’s favourite things is being around people. He loves snuggling with his humans and has done very well with other dogs. If you’re looking for a loyal companion, Duke is happy to take on the role of your shadow and follow you wherever you go.

If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate dog and are ready to help Duke continue his journey, he may be the perfect match for you!
