Meet Sandy: Professional Life Coach, Amateur Comedian, Full-Time Tortie

Hello, people of Chilliwack. My name is Sandy, and apparently I’m here to find a forever home. If you’d told me a year ago that my journey would include Abbotsford, raising a litter of kittens, and eventually ending up as a single lady in Chilliwack looking for roommates, I would have laughed… and then demanded snacks.

My story has been a bit of a whirlwind. I started out as a stray in Abbotsford, found some kind people, and then found myself raising a litter of kittens. Let me tell you, motherhood is exhausting. The kids have all grown up and moved on, which means it’s finally my turn to be the centre of attention. As it should be.

After my kittens were independent, I moved into a home in Chilliwack. It was there that I made an important discovery: children are not really my thing. Maybe it’s the fast-moving hands. Maybe it’s the loud noises. Maybe it’s the fact that they don’t seem to understand that a tortoiseshell queen deserves proper respect and a reasonable amount of personal space. Whatever the reason, I’ve decided I’d much rather live with calm, respectful adults who understand that affection is a privilege, not a constitutional right.

Now, don’t get the wrong idea. I’m a social girl! I enjoy attention, pets, and spending time with my people. I’m also quite the conversationalist. Have a long day at work? I’ll listen. Need advice? I’ll provide commentary. Ask me how my day was? Prepare for a detailed response.

Being a tortie, I come with what experts call “tortitude.” I prefer to think of it as having a strong personality and excellent management skills. Like a box of chocolates, you never quite know what you’re going to get. Am I feeling cuddly? Chatty? Curious? Supervisory? The answer is usually yes.

If you’re looking for a cat with character, charm, opinions, and enough personality to keep life interesting, I might just be your girl.

Come meet me. I’ll be the gorgeous tortoiseshell evaluating whether you’re the right fit for me.
