Meet Skittles

Skittles has already used up one of her nine lives, and now she’s hoping the next chapter of her story is with you.

Meet Skittles!

This beautiful girl is the latest poster cat for why spaying female cats is so important. While most people know that spaying prevents unwanted litters, many don’t realize it can also prevent serious and potentially life-threatening medical conditions.

Skittles came into our care in critical condition. She was suffering from pyometra, a severe infection of the uterus that requires immediate veterinary intervention. Without urgent treatment, her prognosis was poor. Thankfully, Skittles received the emergency surgery she desperately needed, and we’re thrilled to share that she has made a full recovery.

Now that her difficult days are behind her, Skittles is ready to focus on what every cat deserves: a loving family and a place to call home.

While we know very little about her past, she’s been busy showing us exactly who she is. Skittles is always the first to greet us when we enter the room, happily trotting over to see what’s happening and whether there might be some affection heading her way. She’s a sweet, social girl who seems grateful for every second chance she’s been given. We do believe Skittles were prefer to be the only cat in the home from what we have seen

After everything she’s been through, Skittles deserves a future filled with warm beds, full food bowls, and people who will cherish her for the incredible survivor she is.

Could your home be the happy ending this lucky girl has been waiting for? Come meet Skittles and see if she’s the missing piece your family has been searching for. ❤️

Shelter Note:
Skittles’ journey is an important reminder of the health benefits of spaying. Pyometra is a serious and often life-threatening condition that can develop in unspayed female cats. Early spaying not only prevents unwanted litters but can also help prevent medical emergencies like the one Skittles faced. Thankfully, this resilient girl got the help she needed and is now healthy, happy, and ready for adoption. 🐾
