Meet Rocky!

Rocky has had a tough start to life, surviving alone as a stray and living off garbage. A kindhearted person found him severely underweight and took him in, helping him recover and experience what a loving home could feel like. Unfortunately, Rocky wasn’t getting along with her cats, so she reached out to us to help him continue his healing journey and find his forever family.

Rocky is still underweight and on a refeeding plan. He’s a classic Shepherd who bonds deeply with his chosen people. He’s toy obsessed, especially anything with a squeaker, and loves leaning in for all the cuddles he can get. His favourite place is outdoors, and he’s still learning to feel comfortable spending longer periods inside. He’d thrive in a home with plenty of outdoor access or an active person who loves spending time outside. Rocky would do best in a home without cats or small dogs, but gets along well with dogs his own size.

Despite everything he’s been through, Rocky is resilient, loving, and ready to find a family where he can finally feel safe and loved.

Dog Pre-Adoption Questionnaire

The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm to 4pm, staff and animal well-being permitting.

Kitten and puppy meet and greets are by application only. Some animals may not be viewable due to limited shelter space, medical and behavioral reasons, or other contributing factors.

Note that we receive a high volume of adoption inquiries each day, and may not be able to follow-up with every applicant.
