Meet Grizzly

Add to favourites

A Pyranees, a Poodle, and a Labrador walk into a bar… except it’s not 3 dogs, it’s this guy! The biggest handsomest mix in the land! This high-spirited fella is ready for his next adventure: finding his forever home.

Grizzly has a bear-sized heart for his people and is all about play; he absolutely loves his toys, romping around, and playing fetch. Once he’s had his fill of activity, his favourite way to unwind is to have a lay down outside in the sun, or on a comfy bed with a loved one. He loves his time outside and would likely make a great hiking buddy.

Grizzly appears to be a Labradoodle-Pyrenees mix, making both his mental and physical needs extremely high. Both Pyrenees and Labradoodles are types of large, working breed dogs. True to his breed, Grizzly is loyal, fun, and enjoys having things to do. His ideal guardian would be an experienced, dog-savvy person who has time to dedicate to an excited boy like himself. His future guardian should be prepared to provide lots of exercise, and mentally engaging games and tasks to keep Grizzly feeling fulfilled and content! Grizzly is at an age where training and socialization are critical and would benefit from ongoing training.

Grizzly is a large boy, he’s still learning his size and not to jump and mouth when excited, so he would be best suited to a home with no small children, however older, dog-savvy kids may be okay. He would thrive with lots of space to move around, stretch out for naps, and roll around with his toys. Grizzly came to us as a stray, so his past is unknown. However, we do know that this big guy can jump fences if he is feeling bored or his exercise needs are not being met. Adopters should be prepared to provide him an enclosed yard or exercise space to ensure he stays safe and close to home.

**Please note, Grizzly is currently availible for Foster-To-Adopt while he awais his neuter surgery on October 15th**
