Ginny

Meet Ginny, a beautiful girl with a gentle heart who is still learning that people can be trusted. As a stray, much of her history remains a mystery, but since arriving in our care, Ginny has shown herself to be quite fearful and cautious in new situations.

Ginny will be looking for a cat-savvy adopter who understands that trust takes time and who has experience helping nervous cats build confidence. She is not the type of cat who will settle in overnight. Instead, she will need a patient, understanding home that can let her move at her own pace and celebrate the small victories along the way.

While her compatibility with other cats has not been tested while in our care, a calm and confident resident cat may help show Ginny that everything is okay and encourage her to come out of her shell.

For the right person, helping a shy cat learn to feel safe is an incredibly rewarding experience. With patience, consistency, and lots of gentle encouragement, Ginny has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion.

Do you think you could be Ginny’s person? Here are some ways to find out:
1.) Visit our centre to meet this pet during our adoption viewing hours. Our visiting hours are:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 12-5pm
Thursday, Public Holidays: closed
Saturday, Sunday: 12-5pm

2.) Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs.
