Meet Kata, a stunning 12 week old grey Domestic Shorthair with a gentle soul and a soft, quiet presence. Kata is Japanese for “shoulder” and we felt this name was especially fitting for his as he loves to perch on your shoulder while you wander around.

Kata also loves being pet – slow head scratches, gentle cheek rubs, and bum pats will make his purr like a lawn mower. Being a young kitty, Kata has LOTS of energy and will need an adopter with lots of time to devote to kitten enrichment. For adoption applications:

1. Submit an online application and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit. Kindly note that due to the high number of applications, we will only be contacting suitable potential adopters to further review their interest.

2. If you are a successful applicant, we will coordinate with you to arrange a meet and greet at the Surrey BC SPCA centre, located at 16748 50 Ave.

If you are invited to meet an animal, please come prepared with a cat carrier as we do same-day adoptions if the meet goes well. We recommend being prepared with a litter box, litter, food and water dishes, and toys before bringing your new family member home.
