Meet Optimus Prime!

Optimus Prime is a sweet, sensitive boy who is still learning that the world can be a safe and wonderful place. He can be a little flighty and fearful, especially when things are unfamiliar or happen too quickly. But underneath that cautious exterior is a gentle cat who is looking for someone willing to give him the time and patience he needs to feel comfortable.

Optimus isn’t the type to immediately rush up and demand attention. He may need some quiet time to observe, settle in, and decide that you’re trustworthy. Once he feels safe, you’ll get to see more of his personality emerge and those little moments of trust are incredibly special.

Optimus has regressive feline leukemia virus (FeLV). This means that although FeLV genetic material remains in his body, his immune system has suppressed active viral replication. Cats with regressive FeLV generally do not have detectable virus circulating in their blood and are not considered actively infectious while the infection remains regressive. There is a small possibility that the virus can reactivate in the future, particularly if his immune system becomes significantly compromised, so regular veterinary care and monitoring are important.

Optimus is looking for a calm, patient home where he can take things at his own pace. He would do best with someone who understands that trust isn’t always immediate, sometimes it is built one quiet moment, gentle interaction, and treat at a time.

He may be a little cautious at first, but every bit of trust he gives you is a gift – and we’re hoping his forever person will see just how special this sweet boy really is.
