Butter has morphed into an adult bird in the time he has been with us. He went from having his first true feathers and a soft baby beak, to growing in beautiful adult feathers.
Butter now has a chest that is iridescent pink and he has grown to adult size.
We believe Butter is male because of the behaviors we have observed. He puffs up his chest and if feeling threatened, will use his wing to hit with.
Butter has started to coo and will do the pigeon shuttle or pendulum dance which is prominently done by a male trying to show off. he bows his head while doing a half circle moves and puffing out his chest to show his magnificent colors.
When this is done to a human, it means that they are trusting you or perhaps you will fall in love.
