Daredevil is one of those stories of successful progress. He was very shut down and afraid when he came to the shelter from conditions that were not great.
He was just not making much progress in the center as far as trusting the staff and volunteers and would hiss and growl. He had come in with other cats but even being around them didn’t seem to bring him out of hiding.
We put Daredevil into one of our amazing foster homes and although it was slow going at first, he has made really good progress in foster.
He wanders around the home and is comfortable in the surroundings, he will take treats out from her hand and when the foster person offers Daredevil her hand to sniff, he actually puts his paw in her hand like a handshake.
Touch is still a work in progress; however, we had other cats from this same group who over time went from being completely human hands off to rolling around and excepting lots of touch and attention.
