Opie is a handsome young Husky, just under 2 years old, who is looking for a patient and understanding home where he can continue to build his confidence. Having come from a difficult situation with very little socialization, the world can feel like a scary place for Opie. New people, unfamiliar environments, and sudden changes can be overwhelming for him, and he needs time to feel safe and secure.

While people may take a little while to earn his trust, other dogs are a different story. Opie absolutely loves canine companionship and has made a special friend during his stay with us who has helped him come out of his shell. Watching him gain confidence alongside a dog buddy has been wonderful, and he would likely thrive in a home with a calm, social dog who can continue to show him that the world isn’t so frightening.

Once Opie feels comfortable, his sweet nature really shines through. He loves gentle affection and enjoys spending quiet time with the people he trusts.
