Meet Stella!

Stella is a sensitive girl looking for the right home. She takes time to warm up to new people but once she builds some trust, she is very affectionate and will happily crawl into your lap and bring you all her favorite stuffies.

This velvet potato enjoys long walks and absolutely adores a game of fetch. We are seeking a home for Stella where she can have a detached yard to play in, or direct, ground floor access to go outside.

Stella has had a lot of inconsistency in her life thus far and is looking for a very specific home with a patient and empathetic adopter. She will need a calm, adult only home where she can build routine and structure to help her feel safe.

Stella can be a bit dog-selective. She loves to play with some dogs but will bark at others, so she is looking for an adopter who is comfortable reading dog body language and helping her build confidence with unfamiliar dogs on walks.

Stella is sensitive with handling around her mouth and face and has shown some very fearful behaviour at vet appointments. She is looking for an adopter who has time to work with her on desensitizing her to unfamiliar places like the vet clinic. She would benefit head halti or gentle leader training, as well as muzzle conditioning for these very scary appointments.

Stella walks well on leash and knows some basic commands. She would love to go to a home that is keen to continue her training. Stella is very food-motivated, which makes training fun and effective. She also LOVES car rides to fun, new places.
