Meet Red! 🐾

Red is a handsome 5-month-old Labrador cross who is ready to find a family of his own. Surrendered alongside his littermates due to unexpected medical costs, Red has already overcome a few challenges in his young life. After an early exposure to parvovirus, he went on to develop Demodex. The good news is that he is currently receiving treatment and poses no health risk to other healthy animals.

With all the intelligence, energy, and enthusiasm Labradors are known for, Red is an eager young pup who is ready for adventure. His striking coat colour helps him stand out from the crowd, but it’s his cheerful personality that will truly steal your heart.

Red is currently learning leash manners and house training and is making excellent progress. As with any young puppy, he will benefit from continued training, consistency, and plenty of positive reinforcement as he grows into a well-mannered companion.

Do you think you could be Red’s person? Here are some ways to find out:

1.) Visit our centre to meet this pet during adoption viewings Friday to Wednesday 12pm to 5pm, learn more about their ideal match, and apply to adopt in person; or
2.)Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs.
*Side note: the more you add to your application about you and what you are looking for in a canine companion, the better we can match animals with adopters!
