Meet Leia 💕
You may recognize this beautiful girl from a recent stray post, but sadly no one came forward for her and she arrived without any permanent ID. Now, Leia is ready to leave her past behind and begin her next adventure – finding the loving forever home she truly deserves.
Leia is an approximately 1-year-old Staffordshire mix with the sweetest soul. When meeting new people, she can be quite timid and unsure at first, especially around fast movements or loud activity. But once she realizes she’s safe, her loving personality shines through quickly. Before you know it, she’ll be leaning in for affection, asking for love, and happily soaking up attention from her trusted people.
This sweet girl will need an experienced and patient home willing to give her the time she needs to build confidence and settle in at her own pace. Leia thrives with kindness, gentle reassurance, and understanding.
Leia has shown signs of possible food sensitivities or reactivity to the chicken-based diet used at the center, so her future family should be prepared for some food trials to determine what works best for her. The good news? Leia has an excellent appetite, making dietary changes and testing much easier!
She has also shown that she enjoys the company of other dogs, and once she gets comfortable, this girl can run like the wind! Watching Leia sprint around the yard with pure joy is enough to make anyone smile.
When playtime is over, Leia is more than happy to curl up for a cozy nap nearby. She loves toys, soft beds, and being in the same room as her people… although we suspect she’d happily choose the couch if given the opportunity. 🛋️🐾
Leia is already booked for her spay appointment, so her future family will need to be local to Chilliwack and/or able to transport her to and from the vet on Saturday morning and again at the end of the day.
