Rosie Cheeks is quite the unique little character. Confident, curious, and entertaining, she’s often active during the day, which is a special treat since hamsters are typically more active at night. She’s always up to something, making her a joy to watch as she explores her world.

One of Rosie’s favorite hobbies is running on her wheel. Throughout the day, you’ll often catch her racing along with her cheeks full and her eyes half-closed in concentration, training diligently for what we suspect is her next marathon. In fact, we’re fairly certain she’s a strong contender for an upcoming ultra-marathon championship!

Rosie takes great pride in her enclosure and keeps a close eye on everything happening within her kingdom. As the undisputed Queen of her Castle, she prefers things arranged just the way she likes them and isn’t afraid to let everyone know who’s in charge.

This little adventurer is also very curious about different textures and experiences. Because of her inquisitive nature, she may occasionally give fingers a gentle nibble while investigating. We recommend introducing handling gradually. Using a glove on the hand holding her while keeping the other hand bare can help her become more comfortable with human interaction.

All approved hamster adopters must provide a photo of the enclosure before Rosie Cheeks goes home to ensure she has a safe and suitable environment.
