Meet Zena!

Zena is a big sweetheart with a kind heart and a gentle spirit. She loves to play fetch and proudly gathers all her toys into her bed before settling in to enjoy them. Zena also LOVES to play fetch.

She’s a shy girl who’s still learning that new places and sounds aren’t as scary as they seem. Zena can be fearful around new people, but a tasty treat helps her open up. She’s especially unsure around men and will need patience and understanding as she builds confidence.

With other dogs, Zena is excited and friendly, she plays well off leash and is happy to say hi to all dogs. Zena would likely do well in a home with a confident and outgoing dog to show her the ropes.

She enjoys getting out for walks, though she’s still working on her leash manners and can sometimes put on the brakes when she’s feeling uncertain.

Once Zena feels safe with you, her affectionate side shines. She’ll gently rest her head or paw on you for comfort, offer sweet kisses, and snuggle right in.
Zena is looking for an adult-only home with patient experienced adopters who can help her continue growing her confidence and show her the world isn’t so scary after all.

Come by the West Vancouver location to see Zena’s charm for yourself. Our adoption hours are 12pm to 4pm Tuesdays through Sundays (closed Mondays). While we welcome online applications, we prioritize in person meets.
