Meet Alec!

Highly curious and quite affectionate, this handsome tuxedo is always keeping staff on their feet with his quirky personality!

Alec is easily overstimulated, so it’s best to let him be the primary cuddler, and to initiate petting based on his terms. Cat-savvy individuals who are familiar with the telltale signs of overstimulation would fit him best. Alec gets really attached to his favourite people and loves having a good lap on his preferred humans’ lap.

Some of his favourite pastimes include having intense staring contests, loafing on as many warm laps as possible, and partaking in a game we like to call “try not to step on me while I insistently rub against your ankles.” 😂 Despite the ankle rubbing it isn’t always an invitation for a pet. So someone who is okay with receiving love on Alec’s terms will be best.

The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm to 4pm.

Kitten and puppy meet and greets are by application only. Some animals may not be viewable due to limited shelter space, medical and behavioral reasons, or other contributing factors.

Note that we receive a high volume of adoption inquiries each day, and may not be able to follow-up with every applicant.
