Meet Miles 💙
Miles is a 4.5‑year‑old Border Collie/Poodle mix with a huge heart and so much love to give. Previously known as Milo, he was adopted and spent the last four months in a home where he proved just how intelligent, affectionate, and devoted he can be. Unfortunately, he has been returned and he’s now looking for a home that better fits his needs.
Inside the home, Miles is everything you could hope for in a companion. He is house‑trained, respectful, and well‑behaved, happily settling into routines and enjoying time with his people. He can be left alone without issue, is non-destructive, and thrives on affection and connection. Miles absolutely loves to play – especially fetch – and has a particular joy for water and outdoor fun in an enclosed space.
He’s also incredibly smart and eager to please. Miles knows an impressive list of commands and tricks, and he truly enjoys engaging with his people. He forms strong bonds and is deeply loyal to those he trusts.
Miles’ challenges come when he’s outside the home. He is not a dog park dog and is very uncomfortable around other dogs. He can become reactive on walks and when encountering dogs, and he needs careful management to feel safe. Because of this, Miles is looking for a home where he can avoid dog parks and busy, high‑traffic environments. He is happiest when his world is predictable and calm.
While he may be selective and sensitive in busy environments, Miles loves people. He thrives on human companionship and connection, and in the right setting, his affectionate, gentle personality really shines.
Miles would do best in:

A detached home with a secure, enclosed yard
An adult-oriented and/or experienced household
A family committed to continuing his training and supporting his needs
A home where he can be the only pet and not expected to socialize with other dogs
