Meet Poppy,

Poppy was adopted from us in December and sadly found herself returned after she outgrew the children, becoming a hazard to the little ones in the home, often knocking them down accidentally as she would trot past.

She is a large girl who enjoys long walks and will need plenty of exercise and an active home. She is fully housetrained and would love a home with direct yard access to ensure her exercise needs are met. Kangal’s can be strong willed by nature and would do best in a home with a guardian who understands the breed.

Poppy is a very smart girl; she can sit, stay, come, down and fetch. She responds very well to R+ training and would do very well continuing on with her obedience. She is a climber; loves going from chairs to tables, and will need regular monitoring to ensure she isn’t getting into too much trouble. She loves being with her people, enjoys pets but can be head shy when reaching over her. A home without small children would be best but she would do well in a home with other animal with proper introductions. Poppy can become very excitable when meeting larger more exuberant dogs on walks and would benefit from working with a trainer in parallel walks to aid in building confidence and proper leash etiquette.
