Meet Big Guy

Add to favourites

Big Guy came to us as a stray, rough around the edges but with a heart of gold. Despite arriving with painful eye infections, he wasted no time showing us what a lovable, affectionate boy he truly is.

He was found to have a few viral infections affecting his eyes. While he’s been treated and is feeling much better, there’s still a chance these could flare up during times of stress – and potentially spread to other cats. Because of this, Big Guy must be the only cat in the home.

Big Guy will need to be an indoor-only cat from now on – and after years on the streets, he seems more than happy with that. He’s been thriving indoors at the shelter, spending his days lounging like a big ol’ puddle and quietly watching the world go by.

Big Guy also has a condition called entropion (where the eyelid rolls inward), which will be surgically corrected at the time of his neuter.

He’s a big boy with a bigger heart, looking for a calm, understanding home to help him write his next chapter. His name might make him sound tough, but he’s just a sweet, scruffy soul who’s ready to leave street life behind for good.

If you think Big Guy might be your purrrrrrfect match, please submit a pre-adoption questionnaire here: https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/
