Meet Grommit
Meet Grommit! Grommit is a lovely lab/cattledog mix (with maybe a few mystery breeds sprinkled in) who has had a rough start. His early life was spent on a chain, without the love, freedom, or attention every dog deserves. But despite it all, Grommet’s spirit remains unbroken. He is incredibly sweet natured, and ready to find his forever home.
Grommit loves to be around his people, and has been picking up commands quickly as he gains confidence. He has good manners on leash, and he is fully housetrained. He also seems to get along well with children, although he would prefer a home without another dog. We aren’t sure how he feels about cats. He loves to exercise and run around outdoors, and he loves a good game of fetch!
Grommit’s ideal forever home is one with a safe outdoor space for him to play, as he loves to burn off his excess energy with some zoomies. He also has some significant separation anxiety, and will need a patient family who can be home with him most of the time while working on gradual departure and desensitization training to get him used to being alone. Grommit isn’t destructive when he is left alone, but he is very vocal, which means he likely won’t be a good fit for apartment living.
If you have the time and patience to invest, Grommit promises to give you 10 times as much love and devotion in return! This sweet boy is bursting with potential, and is looking for the right home to help unlock it. Could you be the home Grommit is looking for?
