Meet Shakira🐾

Shakira is a stunning, youthful feline with a heart full of love. Recently surrendered to the Burnaby Centre after her owner had to move abroad, this beautiful girl is now looking for her forever home. She has found the change stressful and needs time to decompress. Visitors are asked to be understanding of her sensitive nature.

Shakira has lived exclusively indoors and is fully litter-trained (she prefers clumping litter). She has made progress with staff and volunteers, giving soft eyes and eating treats.

She’s never lived with children, dogs, or other cats, we think she’d do best in a calm home with older children and no other pets-at least until we learn more about her comfort level in different settings. She can get a bit nervous with too much handling (like during vet visits), but who can blame her?

You would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs

*Side note: the more you add to your application about you and what you are looking for in a companion, the better we can match animals with adopters!

Our viewing/adoption hours are:
1pm-5pm Monday – Wednesday, Friday
1pm-4pm Weekends
Thursday closed to the public.
