Meet Meadow

Add to favourites

Meadow is a playful, independent young cat who came to the SPCA as a stray found injured in a rural area. She underwent vet care for multiple injuries, including losing an ear from frostbite and having her tail amputated. When found Meadow was pretty wild and had little socialization with humans. She has spent the last few months in a foster home learning what it is to be in a proper home, but still will take some continued work for a guardian to gain her trust and build her confidence around people. She can still be very fearful and generally prefers to keep her distance. She is not suitable for a home with kids or an inexperienced cat guardian. Meadow needs someone prepared to help her continue her socialization journey, building a trusting and loving relationship with people. She has learned how nice pets and scratches can be which is a great start. Meadow does get along really well with other cats and is actually very playful, zooming around her foster home with her feline friend. She would definitely do best in a home with another cat or two. Meadow needs a patient, understanding adopter who can provide a safe, quiet space where she can feel secure and live life on her own terms. Could you be that special someone?
