Meet Casper
Meet Casper,
Casper is around 2 years old and came to us as part of a larger group of dogs. While he can be nervous around new people at first, it doesn’t take long for his sweet, cuddly side to shine through. Once he feels safe, he’s an oversized baby who absolutely loves snuggling into his people and being close. He’s become a staff favorite thanks to his gentle, affectionate nature and his goofy, loving personality.
Casper also enjoys the company of other dogs and has a playful, social side once he’s comfortable. Despite having an unusual start to life, he’s shown so much resilience and heart.
Casper recently had surgery to correct a grade 4 luxating patella (a kneecap that was permanently out of place). He’s now on the road to recovery and doing great! He’ll need a home where someone can help him heal with short, assisted walks, enrichment to keep his mind active, and some help getting to follow-up appointments. Most importantly, he’ll need a calm, loving environment where he can feel secure as he recovers.
Casper is ready to find his people-someone patient and kind who can help him build confidence and give him all the cuddles he craves. If you’re looking for a loyal, snuggly companion with a heart full of love, Casper could be the perfect fit.
Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be Casper’s person? Apply today!
TIP: We encourage all applicants to write a little bit about themselves when prompted. Leaving these questions empty inhibits our ability to make the best match possible and effects the likelihood of receiving a call back.
The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm to 4pm, staff and animal well-being permitting!
Some animals may not be viewable due to limited shelter space, medical and behavioral reasons, or other contributing factors. Kitten and puppy meet and greets are by application only.
Due to the high number of applications, we will ONLY be following-up with the chosen adopter. If you do not hear back within a week, it’s likely the animal has already found a forever home. Phone inquires and emails regarding the status of your application cannot always be prioritized.
