Meet Bailey ❤️

Bailey is a gentle soul with an unfortunate past. Through no fault of her own she came into care underweight and under-socialized. But she’s slowly learning to trust again and starting to enjoy just being a dog. She’s looking for a calm, patient home where she can continue to blossom at her own pace. While she’s still getting used to handling, she’s showing enthusiasm for treats-a promising step in building a bond with her future family. We have learned while she is in foster that she enjoys walks and loves to get out several times a day. Mealtimes are the highlight of her day, and she enthusiastically lets you know she’s waiting. A home with direct access to a secure, fenced backyard would be a benefit as she enjoys napping in the sun and just being outside. She’s been well behaved in the house, even when left for a few hours at a time. Bailey has demonstrated an interest in the outside world, and doesn’t pull or tug on the leash. She can sometimes be sensitive to loud noises and sudden movements, so a quieter home with experienced adopters familiar with fearful dogs will give her the best chance to thrive. With time, compassion, and a little extra TLC, Bailey has all the makings of a deeply loyal and loving companion.

Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs.
